Goaltending Match-up! Tie Game.

Bulldogs snap the Vipers four game winning streak with ending their first Bauer Showcase Game a 1-1 tie.

During the first period the Bulldogs dominated puck possession but could not get on the board, it remained 0-0 heading into the first intermission.

The Bulldogs continued to dominate play in the second period, scoring the lone goal of the period by Ryan Steele, assisted by Darren Rizzolo and Sami Pharaon. The Bulldogs did get into some penalty trouble at 11:12 where Steele received a Major for Checking from Behind and a Game Misconduct.

The Vipers during the third period would manage to sneak one past Hawthorne with a massive scramble in front which sent this game to overtime.

Two overtime periods couldn’t settle things and the game would end in a 1-1 tie.

John Hawthorne kicked away 43 of 44 shots, while Ty Taylor stopped 27 of 28 shots. Defiantly a goaltenders showcase in this game.

The Bulldogs are back in action tomorrow with a 4:00PM start against the Penticton Vees; Hammer will have the call live on 93.3 The Peak or follow the Bulldogs on Twitter for live game updates.
