The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) announced today its Weekly Top 20 rankings in conjunction with NHL Central Scouting. Last week’s rankings and the leagues in which the teams belong to are in parenthesis.

The Dogs began their three game road trip in Penticton Wednesday night. After back to back penalty kills the Dogs had with several good scoring chances early but Vees goalie Sean Bonar was sharp to keep the game scoreless. They would then go to the power play themselves and it didn’t take long to find the net as Mark MacMillan walked to the net on a David Dziurzynski set up where Bonar made the first save, but he couldn’t reel in the rebound as Mark banged it home to make it 1-0 Dogs 12:26 into the first.

After five straight games at home the Bulldogs hit the road this week for three games in four days. The trip starts Wednesday in Penticton before shifting to Westside Friday and then finishing in Trail Saturday before a long haul home to the Island.
The Bulldogs enter this week with a record of 40-11-1 and 2 which is good for 83 points and first in the Coastal Conference. The Dogs have virtually clinched the Banner, as they lead the 2nd place Powell River Kings by 16 points. The Kings have eight games remaining. ...
