Alumni News: Huskies commit center Mark MacMillan

Kassel, October 31, 2018. The Kassel Huskies have become active in the transfer market and have equipped center-forward Mark MacMillan with a contract until the end of the season.

The Canadians completed this season twelve games for the Swedish second division Tingsryds AIF. Previously he was active exclusively in North America. For four years he played for the University of North Dakota and went there among other things with Drake Caggiula on the ice, today’s teammate Leon Draisaitl at the Edmonton Oilers. MacMillan was also honored in the 2014/15 season as the best defensive forward of the NCAA. In the following three seasons he took a foothold in the professional field and commuted until the spring of this year between the AHL and the ECHL.

Rico Rossi, sporting director of Kassel Huskies: “Mark is a complete, bully-strong center with a good eye for his teammates. His commitment gives us greater options in setting up our team, so we can respond more flexibly to potential outages. “

Mark MacMillan has already joined the team training and will run in the future with the back number 94.
