The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are pleased to announce the signing of 2008-born defenceman Braeyan Newans.
Newans, who spent time as an affiliate with the program this season, recently attended the Bulldogs ID Camp in Port Alberni and continued to impress the organization.
Head Coach and General Manager Joe Martin shared his excitement about the addition:
“After watching Braeyan closely in the VIJHL this season and again at our Spring Camp, we’re excited to add him to our group moving forward. He’s a modest teammate who quickly earned the respect of our players and staff. Braeyan handles the puck well, adapts to the game, and fits in seamlessly with our veterans.”
Newans is coming off a strong season with the Oceanside Generals, recording 38 points in 43 games.
