The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are excited to announce the signing of 2008 born defenceman Wassim Rabbath. The left shot defenceman is committed to play NCAA hockey with Dartmouth College and brings some added size and strength to the Bulldogs blueline.
Rabbath, who hails St-Hubert, QC, joins the Bulldogs after spending the first half of the season with the Gatineau Olympiques of the QMJHL. With Gatineau, Wassim tallied 1 goal and 1 assist in 18 games played. Prior to his time with the Olympiques, Rabbath spent the 2024/25 season with the Chateauguay Grenadiers of the Quebec U18AAA league, where he amassed 1 goal and 20 assists in 42 games.
Bulldogs Head Coach and GM Joe Martin had this to say about the signing. “Wassim is a big, strong, young man and already he has shown that he can play against some very good players. We look forward to getting him in the lineup and working with him daily in practice.”
Wassim has been skating with the team since the all-star break and is expected to be in the lineup this weekend.
Please give a warm Hockey Valley welcome to Wassim and his family!
