The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are excited to announce the acquisition of 2007 born goaltender Derik Brouillard from the Langley Rivermen in exchange for the BCHL playing rights to 2006 born forward Joseph Delaurentis and 2006 born goaltender Owen Bresson.
Brouillard joins the Bulldogs after splitting the season between the Rivermen and the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada of the QMJHL. Previously, Brouillard spent the past two seasons with the Saint-Eustache Vikings of the Quebec U18AAA league.
Delaurentis began the season with the Bulldogs before leaving the team to join the Minnesota Mallards of the NAHL. Bresson is currently with the Halifax Mooseheads of the QMJHL after spending last season with the Chilliwack Chiefs. His rights were acquired in a trade earlier in the season. The Bulldogs wish both players all the best in their future pursuits.
