The Alberni Valley Bulldogs have added to their depth up front by acquiring 18 year old Colin Phaneuf from the Winnipeg South Blues of the MJHL. Going to the Blues is 20 year old Ryan Depape, who the Bulldogs received in exchange for James Kerr in a deal with the Vernon Vipers last month.
Phaneuf has 9 goals and 16 assists in 25 games with 20 PIM so far this season in Winnipeg. Colin was a World Junior A Team West prospect and is in his third season with the Blues. Colin also played for Team Manitoba in the 2007 Canada Winter Games.
