The Alberni Valley Bulldogs have acquired 2004 born American forward Hayden Stavroff from the Salmon Arm Silverbacks. The acquisition completes the December 13th deal where the Bulldogs acquired Owen Desilets and Future Considerations in exchange for Raoul and Jules Boilard.

Stavroff, a native of Dublin, Ohio just completed his rookie campaign in the BCHL where he posted 14 goals and added 21 assists for 35 points in 40 games played. In the post-season, Stavroff added 6 goals and 5 assists for 11 points in 13 games as the Silverbacks advanced to the Interior Conference Championship series.

Joe Martin on adding a quality player like Stavroff to the Bulldogs line-up for next season. “When we moved the young Boilard brothers in December, we knew Owen (Desilets) would be headed off to school next season. It was important for us to bring back an individual that could help us this season, and Hayden is a player our fans should be very excited about.”

After scoring just once in the Silverbacks first 14 games, Stavroff really took off in Mid-December.  From that point on he had 13 goals and adding 16 assists in just 26 games.

Stavroff adds another quality forward to a Bulldogs squad that is fresh off their 1st ever appearance in the BCHL Fred Page cup finals and could potentially return as many as 15 players from this seasons squad.
