The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are excited to announce that they have added 2006 born Goaltender Ryder Shea for the 2024-2025 season.
Shea is 18 years old, and is from Framingham, Massachusetts. The 6’2 194 pound goalie catches left and played the last two seasons for St. George’s School in the United States High School prep league. In 56 games played he compiled a goals against average of 2.79 and a save percentage of .928
Shea is committed to play NCAA Division I Hockey with the University of Maine Black Bears.
On the addition of Shea, Bulldogs Head Coach and General Manager Joe Martin stated: “Ryder is a great addition to our team. He’s got a very solid plan to have an impact here before he heads to the University of Maine. I think we are adding a true gem, with limitless potential.”
Shea commented: “I am excited to play in a true hockey town, for a great team and with fantastic Coaches, Staff and fans. I’m looking forward to putting in the work and bringing a Fred Page Cup to the Dawg Dound.”
Ryder will join his teammates in #hockeyvalley in advance of the season opening Golf Tournament on August 30th at the Alberni Golf Club
