The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are excited to announce that they have added 2006 born Defenceman Evan Stastny for the 2024-2025 season.
Stastny is 18 years old and is from Glen Ellyn, Illinois. The 6’4 174 pound defenceman shoots right and played the last two seasons with Lake Forest Academy in the United States High School prep league. In 82 games played he scored 13 goals and added 35 assists for 48 points.
Stastny is committed to play NCAA Division I Hockey with the Lake Superior State Lakers.
On the addition of Stastny, Bulldogs Head Coach and General Manager Joe Martin stated “Evan visited us this past season and impressed us with his ability. In his first year of Junior Hockey, we’re excited to see this young man’s development.
Stastny commented ” “I am excited to be coming to Hockey Valley and joining the amazing coaches, team and community of the Alberni Valley Bulldogs. I can’t wait to wear the Bulldogs jersey and to call the Dawg Pound my home.”
Evan will join his teammates in #hockeyvalley in advance of the season opening Golf Tournament on August 30th at the Alberni Golf Club
