The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are excited to announce that they have added 2004 born Defenceman Calle Sandström for the 2024-2025 season.
Sandström is 19 years old, and is from Stockholm, Sweden. The 6’2 190 pound defenceman shoots left and played the last two seasons for Brynäs IF in J20 Nationell, the highest level junior hockey league in Sweden. In 85 regular season and playoff games he scored 13 goals and added 20 assists for 33 points.
On the addition of Sandström, Bulldogs Head Coach and General Manager Joe Martin stated: “Calle came to us late in the summer. We were looking for a player just like him, and we’re happy he did. He was an Assistant Captain last year, and we’ll look to him for him to play a big role this season ”
Sandström commented: “I’m very excited for this opportunity, and I’m looking forward to representing the Bulldogs, and helping the team to win games. It’s a great place to develop both as a person and a hockey player.”
Calle will join his teammates in #hockeyvalley in advance of the season opening Golf Tournament on August 30th at the Alberni Golf Club
