Aaron Bohlinger, alumni defenceman of the Alberni Valley Bulldogs captured the 2021 NCAA Men’s hockey championship with his University of Massachusetts teammates on Saturday afternoon.
Bohlinger, a native of Walden NY spent the 2018-2019 BCHL season with the Bulldogs where he appeared in 55 games posting 7 goals and adding 27 assists for 34 points.
In his freshman season with UMass, Bohlinger had 11 assists in 28 games.
In dramatic fashion, his very first NCAA goal came on a clear cut 2-on-0 breakaway where Bohlinger made no mistake to give UMass a 1-0 lead.
