The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are excited to announce that they have signed 2007 born Forward Leim Smith for the 2025-2026 season.
Smith is 17 years old, and is from Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. The 5’10 183 pound forward attended the Bulldogs Calgary and Abbotsford Prospect camps last summer where he was first identified. He was a standout in his rookie season with the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League’s Port Alberni Bombers last year, scoring 28 goals while adding 42 assists good for 70 points in 54 regular season and playoff games. He finished sixth in league scoring and third in Rookie scoring, and was named to both the VIJHL’s All Star and Top Prospects rosters.
Smith also played 9 regular season and playoff games in the BCHL last season, recording 2 assists.
Smith commented: “It was a great year with the Bombers last season and I enjoyed seeing the community come together. Port Alberni was an exciting place to play with an excellent program and coaching staff. I can’t wait for 25/26 season to get it going with the Dogs. I look forward to the opportunity to contribute to such a great team and compete in the Dawg Pound in front of the best fans in the league.”
The Bulldog ID camps are upcoming in Abbotsford and Calgary July 5th through 6th, and July 19th through the 20th. Sign up and get further details by clicking HERE
