Bulldogs Back in Action to Face Grizzlies

After nearly a week off in between contests. The Alberni Valley Bulldogs (8-6-2) will be hosting their arch-rival Victoria Grizzlies (11-6-0) for Wednesday night BCHL action.

This break in between was much needed for the Bulldogs. They are also dealing with a three-game losing streak and are also 1-3-1 in their last five games.

As for the Grizzlies, they’re riding high with a three-game winning streak. Talk about two teams that are currently opposite of each other.

This will also be the first of two games in which they will be splitting home ice. This comes after a sudden schedule change after a game on January 2nd, 2022 had been replaced.

In terms of who to watch out for. Be on the lookout for hotshot Grizzlies rookie Matthew Wood. The 2005 born player is currently leading the BCHL in scoring. With 14 goals and 12 assists for 26 points in just 12 games.

As for the Bulldogs, Braden Blace is highlighted this week as he was selected as an all-star in the 3-on-3 BCHL All-Stars Tournament. That will be taking place in Penticton on January 15th.

Puck drop will be at 7:00 PM at the Alberni Valley Multiplex. Tickets will be available for $16 for each adult.

However, if you’re under the age of 18 and are accompanied by an adult, you’ll be able to see the game for free. Thanks to the San Group.

And if you’re not able to attend tonight’s game. You can also catch the game live on BCHLTV via HockeyTV and on 93.3 The Peak. A link for both broadcasts will be down below.
