Bulldogs Back on the Island to Face Clippers

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs (8-4-2) are back home on Vancouver Island after playing their past three games on the mainland and went 1-1-1 in that stretch. However, they will not be playing at home just yet, as they will pay a visit to the Nanaimo Clippers (9-6-0).

This will be the third time this season these two teams will face off against one another. The previous meeting saw the Bulldogs come away with a 3-0 victory on home ice back on November 6th.

This is also a big game with regards to the standings. As both teams have 18 points to start the year for a three-way tie for second place in the Coastal Division. Along with the Victoria Grizzlies.

The Bulldogs are technically ahead as they currently have a better win percentage compared to the Clippers and Grizzlies.

Keep an eye out too for Clippers’ 2001 born forward Sean Donaldson, who is currently fifth in the BCHL for points with 20, (12G, 8A). And nine of those points have come on the powerplay.

If the Bulldogs are going to grab another win from the Clippers, shutting down Donaldson will be a way to do it.

Puck drop will begin at 7:00 PM and if you’re unable to make it to the game. You can catch the action live over on BCHL TV. A link for the broadcast will be down below.
