Bulldogs beat Capitals 2-1 in OT

It took just over 60 minutes of play to decide the game between the Bulldogs and Capitals on Friday (Oct. 13) Game.

This was the first match-up of the season between both clubs where nothing was tallied in the first period, but in the second Capitals’ Alexandre Drapeau would net the lone goal to give the Capitals the 1-0 lead.

Late into the third period Bulldogs’ Keaton Mastrodonato on the breakaway would tie things up assisted by Jackson Doucet and Cayden Kraus.

Early into the first overtime Victoria native Isaac Tonkin-Palmer would net the winning goal assisted by Cole Poliziani.

John Hawthorne stopped 32 of 33 shots he faced.

The Bulldogs are back in action tomorrow against the Capitals at the Alberni Valley Multiplex, Puck drop is at 7:00PM.
