Bulldogs comeback falls short in Game 3

PORT ALBERNI- The Alberni Valley Bulldogs season will be on the line on Thursday after a 3-2 loss in Game 3 against the Nanaimo Clippers on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs battled hard on at the Dawg Pound in front of close to 11-hundred fans.

The Clippers would get on the board first at the 7:21 mark. The Clippers would get the only goal in the opening period.The Clippers out shot the Bulldogs 20-8.

The Clippers would score the only goal in the second period just 58 seconds in to grab a 2-0 lead.

The Clippers would take that lead into the third. Jackson Doucet would cut into the lead to open the scoring for the Bulldogs.

The Clippers would get it back and jump out to a 3-1 led before Dawson Tritt would pull the Bulldogs within one however the comeback would fall short. The Clippers would hold on for the 3-2 win and take a 3-0 series lead. Luke Pearson turned away 47 shots in the loss.

The Bulldogs must win on Thursday in Game 4. Puck drop is 7 PM at the Dawg Pound.
