Bulldogs edge Grizzlies 4-3 and pick up two big points on the road on Friday Night

COLWOOD, B.C- The Alberni Valley Bulldogs have now won back to back games after defeating the Victoria Grizzlies 4-3 on Friday.

Olivier Fizet would get the Bulldogs on the board at the 4:10 mark of the opening period with his first BCHL goal.

Jackson Doucet would pot his 7th of the campaign with under 3 minutes to go in the period to make it 2-0 for the Bulldogs.

Victoria would answer back with two quick goals near the half way mark of the middle frame to tie the game up at 2-2. However Jacob Bosse would snipe two of his own under 4 minutes apart to put the Bulldogs back out in front 4-2. Victoria out shot the Bulldogs 20-10 in the period.

Victoria would score the only goal in the third to pull within one, however the Bulldogs would hold on for the 4-3 win thanks to some stellar goaltending from Luke Pearson.

Pearson made 28 saves on the night for the win. The Bulldogs are now 15-12-0-2 on the season and sit one point behind Powell River for third spot in the Island Division.

The Bulldogs will return to the Dawg Pound on Saturday to face the 19-11-1-1 Salmon Arm Silverbacks. Puck drop is set for 7 PM.

The Bulldogs will host Powell River on Sunday for a matinee game, which starts at 2 PM.
