Bulldogs fall 6-2 to Capitals to conclude preseason

The Bulldogs fell into a 1-0 hole on a Brayden Sinclair marker wth under eight minutes to play in the first on a pass off a defender and in.

The Capitals took a 3-0 lead after 40 minutes on goals by Carter Dekay, again off a defender and in, followed by a passing play on the rush finished at the goal mouth by Ben Portner off a Camden Bazjer pass.

Two quick goals to start the third put the Capitals in full control, as Luke McCrady and Moritz Kukuk made it 5-0 by the 1:10 mark. Brady McIsaac scored to make it 5-1 six minutes into the period, before he then set up Dryden Kuramoto to make it 5-2 two minutes later. That’s as close as the comeback came, as Camden Bajzer made it a 6-2 final. 

Shots were 38-24 Capitals with Alexi Noskov earning the win Ryder Shea taking the loss.

The Bulldogs went 0 for 5 on the power play while the Capitals went 0 for 2. 

The Bulldogs open their 2024-2025 season by hosting the Nanaimo Clippers at the Dawg Pound on September 20th.
