Bulldogs fall 9-4 to the Express on Tuesday at the Dawg Pound

PORT ALBERNI- The Alberni Valley Bulldogs have now lost five games in a row after dropping a 9-4 decision to the Coquitlam Express on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs would pounce first early in the opening period with a goal from Stevie Castagna his 10th of the season. The Express would add two of their own to grab a 2-1 lead after the opening twenty minutes.

In the second period the Express would add three more goals to jump to a 5-1 lead before Austin Spiridakis found the back of the net for the 11th time this season to make it a 5-2 game. The Express would get that goal back before the second period would end to take a commanding 6-2 lead.

Jackson Munro and Grayson Valente would score for the Bulldogs in the third but it would not be enough as the Express added three more to take the contest 9-4.

The Bulldogs are now 24-23-1-2 on the season and will hit the road this weekend for a pair of games in Powell River.
