PORT ALBERNI- The Alberni Valley Bulldogs lost 3-0 to the West Kelowna Warriors at the Dawg Pound on Thursday night. It marked the first time this season the Bulldogs were held off the scoreboard.

The Bulldogs would fall into a 1-0 hole early as the Warriors got on the board at the 1:17 of the opening period. The Bulldogs would come close to tying it just moments later.

The Warriors would extend their lead to 2-0 at the 9:52 mark of the period.

Down 2-0 in the middle period, the Bulldogs would get a pair of scoring chances on the penalty kill but could not score. The Warriors would extend their lead to 3-0 a short time later. Luke Pearson would make some key saves in the period to keep the Bulldogs within striking distance.

The Bulldogs would start the third period on a 5-3 power-play but Warriors goaltender Derrick Johnny would shut the door on back to back chances for the Bulldogs. Pearson turned away 28 shots in the game. With the 3-0 win, the Warriors take both meetings this season against the Bulldogs.
