The Alberni Valley Bulldogs of the BCHL are pleased to announce the hiring of Tim Knight as the club’s new Director of Scouting.

Knight, a staple in BC rinks for many years will be charged with overseeing the Bulldogs recruiting initiatives under general manager Joe Martin.  Knight will be leaned on to develop a pipeline of future talent for the Bulldogs and the Jr B Bombers to draw from.  Knight will also be charged with elevating the camp experience for players attending a Bulldogs evaluation camp.

Knight, who currently resides in Squamish, BC brings well over 20 years of coaching and skill development experience to the organization.  Knight is a part of the Vancouver NE Chiefs program which helped develop current Bulldogs Callum Tung and Tristian Taylor.

Bulldogs club president David Michaud was thrilled to add Knight to the hockey operations staff. “Tim brings a ton of experience to the organization.  Adding Tim will help grow our brand and elevate our reputation in the game.  Joe Martin and Tim will work closely together ensuring we have the opportunity to continue adding talented players from British Columbia to our roster.”

For Knight, the opportunity to join the Bulldogs and the BCHL is an exciting step. “I’m very excited to for this opportunity with the Bulldogs. I have always held the BCHL in the highest regard and to be in Port Alberni makes it that much more special.  I want to thank David Michaud, Joe Martin and the management staff for having me a part of their team.  I look forward to new relationships and building trust with management, staff, players & families.  I will bring my very best toward the Bulldogs organizational goals.

The Bulldogs open training camp on September 2nd and will face the Cowichan Valley Capitals in a split squad double-header at the Multiplex on Saturday September 3rd.
