It’s the second meeting between these teams in as many days, and an opportunity for the Bulldogs to push the Eagles to the brink of elimination as they carry a 2-1 series lead into play tonight at the Dawg Pound.
The Bulldogs won a wildly entertaining game by a 5-2 score last night, building up a 3-0 lead early in the second only to have the Eagles score twice in just over a minute to change the game. Grayson Badger would respond a minute later to give the Bulldogs their insurance back, and it was a cushion they wouldn’t relinquish. The Eagles didn’t go quietly though, as they pushed through the early parts of the third to get back in it, but Ryder Shea was solid to protect the lead.
All of that matters not going into play tonight of course. The Bulldogs aren’t in unfamiliar territory, as they squandered a 1-0 series lead after the Eagles stormed out to a 2-0 lead five minutes into game two on their way to a 5-1 win.
Expect a motivated and desperate Surrey squad tonight, and hopefully the Bulldogs will have the start to game two on their minds as they prepare for a critical game four tonight.
