Bulldogs host Grizzlies tonight

It’s just the second meeting between the teams this season at the Dawg Pound, as the Bulldogs (19-10-1-0) host the Victoria Grizzlies (17-9-4-0) tonight.

The Bulldogs were in action last night at home as they returned from their Christmas break with a thud, dropping a 5-1 decision to the Nanaimo Clippers.

The Grizzlies played their third game since the holiday break last night, and won a second straight 6-5 in a shoot out on home ice over the Coquitlam Express.

Victoria won the most recent head-to-head match up by a 3-0 score at the Q Centre on November 8th. The Bulldogs won the only previous meeting at the Dawg Pound on October 5th by a 4-3 score, at the time handing the Grizzlies their first loss of the season after they had raced to a 5 and 0 start. This is is the fourth meeting of the season between the teams, with the Grizzlies leading the season series 2-1.

Tonight is the final time to see the Bulldogs on home ice until January 31st. They visit the Spruce Kings in Prince George for back-to-back games next weekend. The BCHL All-Star and Top Prospects games go the following weekend in Salmon Arm. The Bulldogs then visit Surrey and Chilliwack on January 24th and 25th respectively.
