Bulldogs Humbled in Prince George

It’s never easy to make the long trek up to Prince George and the Bulldogs are likely thankful Friday night was their one and only visit of the season to visit the Spruce Kings after dropping an 8-2 decision.

The first period started well enough for the Bulldogs when Ryan Doolin opened the scoring with his 3rd of the season just 3:33 into the game.  The Spruce Kings took over in earnest when Brendan Hill and Nicholas Poisson scored exactly 3:00 minutes apart midway through the opening frame to give Prince George their first lead of the night at 2-1.

The 2nd period couldn’t have started worse for the Bulldogs and it got carried away from there. Poisson scored his 2nd of the game just 15 seconds into the period to make it 3-1.  The Spruce Kings would go on to tack on five more goals in the 2nd to hold an 8-1 lead after 40 minutes of play.

Jacob Bosse would score the only goal of the 3rd period giving him his first BCHL goal in the process.

Jackson Glassford took the loss in goal making 17 saves through 40 minutes.  Luke Pearson stopped all 4 of his shots in the 3rd.

The Bulldogs record dropped to 3-5-0 with the loss and will now prepare to face the Chilliwack Chiefs on Saturday night in Chilliwack before wrapping up the weekend Sunday in Coquitlam.
