Bulldogs on the Brink in Game 4 Tonight

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs find themselves on the brink of elimination after a crushing 3-2 loss to the Clippers in Game 3 on Tuesday night. Nanaimo leads the Best of 7 Series 3 games to none and can clinch their spot in the Island Division Final with a win at the Multiplex Tonight.
The Bulldogs made some adjustments in Game 3 and rewarded the near 1100 fans at the Multiplex with an entertaining game. Trailing 2-0, the Bulldogs got on the board early in the 3rd period and bounced back once more late as they trailed 3-1. With the net empty however the Bulldogs were unable to find the equalizer.
Luke Pearson was tremendous in goal during his BCHL playoff debut. Pearson stopped 47 of 50 Clippers shots, good for a sparkling .940 save %. He will get the call again tonight in game 4.
The Bulldogs were also boosted by the return of the club’s unsung hero Josh Zary. Zary missed the final month of the season with a lower body injury sustained in Powell River. His presence paid immediate dividends in the face-off circle on Tuesday night and the Bulldogs are hoping for more of the same from him tonight.
The Bulldogs made some adjustments on the Clippers Josh Bourne and were finally able to keep him off the scoresheet for the first time in the series. Tonight will require a similar effort if the Bulldogs are going to force a Game 5 tomorrow night in Nanaimo.
The box office is open all day at the Multiplex, or tickets can be purchased online. Doors open at 6:00 pm with a special Game 4 Happy Hour.  All Twin City Brewing Draft is on for just $3.00 between 6:00 & 7:00 pm.
