The Alberni Valley Bulldogs pay homage to the past as Alumni players will be on hand to drop the puck at home games throughout the month of February.
In 16 BCHL seasons, over 200 players have proudly worn the Bulldogs distinctive red, black and copper.
The organization is pleased to welcome the following players back to the dog pound this month!
February 17th Tyler Ruel
Hailing from Port Alberni, Ruel played for the Bulldogs for five seasons from the inaugural season of 2002 through to the 2006-2007 seasons where he earned an appearance in the BCHL All-star game.
In 275 games Ruel tallied almost a point a game with 247 points (87 goals and 160 assists)
February 18th Turner Popoff
Hailing from Richmond, BC Turner Popoff held the blue line for the Bulldogs from 2011-2013
In 58 games as a defensemen Popoff tallied 11 points. Popoff currently attends VIU playing for the Mariners in their inaugural season.
February 24th Paul Savage
Paul Savage dropping the puck, Savage played for the Bulldogs for one season, 2016-17.
In that one season he played 46 games tallying eight points, three goals and five assists.
February 25th Garrett Halls
Hailing from the valley to the north, Comox native Halls played for the Bulldogs for three seasons from 2013-2016.
In 168 games he tallied 56 points, 11 goals and 45 assists. Garrett currently plays for the Vancouver Island University Mariners
