Bulldogs shutout Kings to stay hot on home ice

PORT ALBERNI, B.C – The Alberni Valley Bulldogs improved to 9-0-0-1 at the Dawg Pound this season after a 4-0 win over Powell River on Saturday night.

Dawson Tritt opened the scoring for the Bulldogs at the 8:24 mark of the opening period to make it 1-0.

The Bulldogs would add to their lead in the second period with goals from Austin Spiridakis and Ryan Doolin to make it 3-0 after forty minutes.

In the third Tommy Bannister found the back of the net to make it 4-0 and to seal the win for the Bulldogs.

Luke Pearson picked up first-star honours with a 26 save performance for his second shutout of the season.

The Bulldogs are now 11-9-0–1 on the season and will play two games at the Dawg Pound this week.

On Friday against the Coquitlam Express and Saturday against the West Kelowna Warriors. Both games start at 7:00 PM.
