The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are excited to announce that they have signed 2007 born Forward Grayson Salmon for the 2025-2026 season.
Salmon is 17 years old, and is a Port Alberni native and an alumnus of the Alberni Valley Minor Hockey Association. The 6’0 170 pound forward previously attended the Bulldogs Spring ID and Prospect camps. He was a standout in his rookie season with the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League’s Port Alberni Bombers last year, scoring 15 goals while adding 32 assists good for 47 points in 37 regular season and playoff games. He led the Bombers in playoff scoring, and was named to the VIJHL’s Top Prospects roster.
Salmon also played 13 regular season and playoff games in the BCHL last season, scoring 2 goals while also recording 2 assists.
On the addition of Salmon Bulldogs Head Coach and General Manager Joe Martin stated: “Grayson is a player we’ve been watching for a few years now. He’s attended a couple of our ID camps, and last year our top prospects camp. Last season he had a very strong first season of Junior Hockey, mostly with the VIJHL’s Port Alberni Bombers but he also fit in seamlessly with the Bulldogs. I’m excited to see him after another big summer of personal development”
Salmon commented: “I’m excited to join a great organization and stay home to play in front of my family and the awesome fan base here. Port Alberni is an unreal hockey town, and I can’t wait for the season to start and to get things rolling in the Dawg Pound”
The Bulldog ID camps are upcoming in Abbotsford and Calgary July 5th through 6th, and July 19th through the 20th. Sign up and get further details by clicking HERE
