The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are excited to announce that they have signed 2005 born Defenceman Richard Durina for the 2025-2026 season.
The 19 year old Durina is from Ilava, Slovakia and is 6’4 and 216 pounds. He played last season with the NCDC’s Connecticut Junior Rangers, and in 38 games played scored three goals and added nine assists for 12 points.
On the addition of Durina, Bulldogs Head Coach and General Manager Joe Martin commented: “We’re excited to add Richard. He’s a big body who plays a simple and effective game. He’s a different defender than what we currently have”
Durina participated at the Bulldog Invitational Camp in Port Alberni last weekend, and before that he attended a Bulldog Summer ID Camp.
The Bulldogs host the Powell River Kings for their first exhibition game on September 7th at 1:00pm
