Bulldogs take all three games on weekend road trip

SURREY, B.C – The Alberni Valley Bulldogs showed their teeth this weekend and picked up three straight wins on the road.

After wins in Wenatchee on Friday and Saturday night in Langley, the Bulldogs clipped the Surrey Eagles on Sunday 3-2 in a shootout.

Both teams came out firing in the first period but it would end scoreless. The Eagles out shot the Bulldogs 15-14.

The Bulldogs would get the only goal in the second period from Jacob Bosse his 11th of the season.

In the third the Eagles would strike twice to take a 2-1 lead until the 13:26 mark. That’s when Veteran Forward Jackson Doucet would bury his 10th of the season to tie the game 2-2.

After sixty minutes and some great scoring chances late, the game would remain tied 2-2.
Overtime would solve nothing so the game headed to the shootout.

Bosse, Mitch Deelstra and Ryan Doolin all scored in the shootout.

Luke Pearson was solid in goal making 43 saves in the win.

The Bulldogs are now 20-14-0-2 on the season and will be back on the ice on January 3rd against Powell River at the Dawg Pound.
