Bulldogs Take on Chiefs and Eagles

The Alberni Valley Bulldogs continue their six game home stand this weekend when the Langley Chiefs and Surrey Eagles visit the Dog Pound.
Friday sees the Chiefs making the trip over the hump; winners of three in a row after a 3-1 win over the Eagles Saturday night at the Langley Events Centre. Josh Myers, Mac Roy and Brad Goss found the net for the Chiefs, who were outshot 32-31. Langley went 1 for 5 on the power play, while killing off all 8 Surrey power play chances.  Matt Green picked up the win and first star honours in net.

The Eagles enter play this weekend with a 2 and 3 record. They were last in action Sunday afternoon when they snapped a three game losing streak with a 4-0 win over the Powell River Kings at the South Surrey Arena. Jesse Pauls, Richard Vanderhoek, Jason Grecica and Andrew Wallace were the Eagle goal scorers. Surrey went 1 for 3 on the power play while killing off all four of the Kings power play chances. Paul Barclay was the game?s first star with the win and the shut out in net as Surrey outshot Powell River 28-27. The Eagles open a three game Island trek Friday night with a visit to the Frank Crane Arena to face the Clippers.
