Bulldogs wrap up regular season with 6-1 loss to Nanaimo

PORT ALBERNI- With a number of players out of the lineup on Sunday due to injuries the Bulldogs played their final game of the regular season against the Nanaimo Clippers.

More than 1,200 fans packed into the Dawg Pound for the game.

The Clippers would score the only two goals of the opening period. One just pass the half way mark of the frame and the other in the final seconds.

With the Clippers up 4-0 in the second period. Jacob Bosse would snipe his 16th goal of the season to get the Bulldogs on the board. Jackson Doucet picked up the only assist on the goal.

The Clippers would add two more goals in the third to take the game 6-1.

Luke Pearson turned away 40 shots in the game. With the loss the Bulldogs finish the regular season with a record of 26-28-2-2.

The Bulldogs will face the Clippers in the first round of the Playoffs. The series is set to start Friday in Nanaimo. Game two will also be in Nanaimo on Saturday. Stay tuned for the rest of the schedule.

It will be the 7th time the Bulldogs have faced the Clippers in the Playoffs.
