The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are thrilled to announce that 2004 Defender Calle Sandström has signed with Strömsbro IF of Sweden’s Hockey Ettan.
The 20 year old native of Stockholm signed with the Bulldogs in advance of the 2024-2025 season and played in 27 games, recording three goals and nine assists for 12 points. His season was unfortunately cut short in December as he dealt with a heart ailment. He has since received a clean bill of health and will make his professional debut in 2025-2026 with Strömsbro IF.
Bulldogs Head Coach and GM Joe Martin commented: “We’re happy for Calle, he’s a great young man and has battled significant adversity. We really missed him in our second half of the season, and he gets to continue playing at a great level, and that’s what it’s all about”
Sandström added “It’s good hockey and my first senior season, I’m looking forward to it”
