The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are proud to announce that veteran forward Stephen Castagna has committed to the Bentley Falcons Division 1 Men’s hockey program for the 22-23 season.
Castagna is in his 3rd full season with Bulldogs and currently has 7 goals and 7 assists for 14 points in 8 games this season, good for 7th in BCHL scoring.
The 19 year-old native of North Vancouver has played in 126 games as a Bulldog and has posted 23 goals and 35 assists, good for 58 points in his BCHL career.
Castagna said he was “proud and honoured to commit to Bentley Hockey. I’d like to thank my family, coaches, teammates and everyone that has helped me along the way.”
Bulldogs head coach and general manager Joe Martin offered the following thought “I’m happy for Stevie and the Castagna family. From my first day here as with the Bulldogs, he has always been a team player. I trust his leadership and looking forward to winning more together before he heads off to Bentley.”
Castagna becomes the 6th Bulldog to secure an NCAA Div 1 scholarship this season.
