Clippers Take Spirited Affair at the Multiplex

The Nanaimo Clippers rallied from a 2-0 deficit to earn a 3-2 come from behind win over the Bulldogs on Tuesday evening at the Multiplex.

The game wasn’t without controversy as the Bulldogs appeared to have take a 3-0 lead late in the 2nd period off the stick of Chase Klassen only to have the marker waived off for alleged crease in fraction.  Nanaimo used the call to spark the rally.

Dawson Tritt and Tim Gould scored for the Bulldogs, while Luke Pearson was great in goal making 43 saves in the loss.

The Bulldogs had some tremendous pressure inside the last minute, however they couldn’t find the equalizer as several Clippers sold out to block shots, and Jordan Naylor was there to stand tall when a puck did get through.

The game was noticeably physical, especially in the 3rd period.  The game almost had a playoff like feel to it.

The Bulldogs were 0-2 on the PP while the Clippers were 0-4.

With the loss, the Bulldogs fall to 5-6-1-1 on the pre-season.  The Bulldogs next head to Victoria to take on the Island Division leading Grizzlies on Friday evening.
