The Alberni Valley Bulldogs had a tough weekend with two games on the road followed by a 2:00pm home game on Sunday.

In game one of the weekend the Powell River Kings took the game in the final twenty minutes scoring three unanswered goals to win the game 5-3.

Mackenzie Wight would open the scoring in the first period, which was retaliated by two Kings goals followed by a Jackson Doucet goal to tie things up after the first.

Mitch Deelstra would score the lone goal in the second period on the powerplay, assisted by Ryan Moon and Ethan Jones, but in the third is when the Kings would take control of the game. They scored three unanswered goals to win 5-3.

The following night in Powell River, it was scoreless after the first period however in the second the Kings would score two unanswered goals to lead 2-0.

Dawson Tritt would score both of the Bulldogs goals in the third period to send the game to overtime where early into overtime Jackson Doucet would end things and give the Bulldogs the overtime win.

The Bulldogs on Sunday looked like they were keeping the winning streak going scoring three unanswered goals first by Keaton Mastrodonato, second by Grayson Valente and third by Aaron Bohlinger.

However, the Express did not give up coming back to score five unanswered goals of their own to take the game 5-3.
