Columbia Ice Weekend Update; What a weekend.

In front over 2,500 fans in two games the Alberni Valley Bulldogs played two incredible games, winning one and losing one by one goal.

Friday night the Prince George Spruce Kings were in town where it was a goaltenders game with the Spruce Kings pulling away with the 2-1 win.

Spruce Kings would open the scoring early into the first period by Nicholas Poisson, which was the lone goal of the period. The Bulldogs would retaliate in the second period on the powerplay by Darren Rizzolo however late in the third Ben Brar would score the game winner.

Hawthorne stopped 32 of 34 shots while Logan Neaton stopped 25 of 26 shots.

In the second game of the weekend for the Bulldogs it saw the Chilliwack Chiefs in town where the Dogs’ would take the win by a score of 4-1.

After forty minutes things were event at one goal each, Kevin Wall for Chiefs and Ryan Mitto for the Bulldogs would score.

In the third period the Bulldogs would score three unanswered goals, first by Mitch Deelstra followed by Keaton Mastrdonato. Grayson Valente would add the empty netter.

The Bulldogs travel to Powell River (Tuesday) to take on the Kings.
