The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are proud to announce the 19-year old defenceman Mason Croucher has committed to play NCAA hockey with the RIT Tigers (Rochester Institute of Technology)
Croucher, a 6’0″ 182 pound defenceman from Victoria is in his 2nd season with the Bulldogs after joining them last season after he was released by the Cowichan Valley Capitals after appearing in 3 games. Croucher would join the Bulldogs and contribute 14 points in 29 games for the Bulldogs and appeared in 19 playoff games picking up 5 assists as the Bulldogs advanced to the BCHL Championship series.
In 17 games this season, Croucher has 6 goals and 6 assists for 12 points.
Bulldogs head coach and general manager is excited for Croucher as he prepares to take the next step to RIT. “Mason has had a great start, I’m excited to see where he can take this season. Congratulations to him and his family, he’ll be a good Tiger.”
Croucher becomes the 15th Bulldog to earn an NCAA commitment.
