In the end, the comeback just wasn’t meant to be. Tailing 3 games to 1, the Bulldogs pushed to force a game 7 against the top team in the BCHL standings, only to fall 3-2 in the decisive game.
With the win, the Eagles take the Best of 7 series 4-3 and will advance to their 1st BCHL Championship series since 2013.
The loss marked the end of the junior careers of the 6 Bulldog 20-year olds, and a few more that are off to college in the fall, players like Mason Croucher, Jax Wismer & Lucas Buzziol to name a few.
Captain Nicholas Beneteau went out with his head held high as he delivered a goal and an assist. Hayden Stavroff added his playoff leading 12th in the contest as well.
Callum Tung finished his BCHL careers on one of the most epic runs in recent memory and gave the Bulldogs a chance every single game.
