The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are proud to announce that goaltender Jackson Glassford has committed to play NCAA Div 1 Men’s Hockey at Long Island University for the 22-23 season.
The 2001 born Glassford was 12-7-1 with a 3.25 GAA & a .915 SV % during his rooking campaign with the Bulldogs last season and added an appearance in the Top Prospects game.
After competing in the extended training camp in the fall, Glassford made the decision to shut things down for the balance of the season to deal with a nagging lower body injury and prepare for next season. With this decision behind, Glassford’s path is now secured moving forward.
Head Coach & General Manager Joe Martin was thrilled for the entire Glassford family. “I’m really happy for Jack and his family. This season has been extra tough on him, but his hard work and persistence has paid off. Jackson has the ability to win his team games and provides an intimidating swagger for his team.”
Glassford becomes the 5th Bulldog to secure an NCAA DIV 1 scholarship this season, joining Dawson Tritt, Luke Pearson, Ethan Bono and Brandon Buhr.
