Grizzlies shutout Bulldogs, 3-0

The first game after the BCHL Trade Deadline did not go the Bulldogs way after being shutout by the Victoria Grizzlies 3-0 on Friday night at The Q Centre in Langford.

The Grizzlies would capitalize on the powerplay two times in the game while their third goal was even strength. First goal came on a breakaway in the first period by Ethan Nother which was unassisted.

During the second period the Grizzlies would score their second goal by Matthew Doran assisted by Carter Berger and Lucas Clark on the powerplay followed by their third goal of the night late in the third period by Cameron Thompson assisted by T.J. Friedmann and Jamie Rome.

Bulldogs for 29 minutes of the game were killing penalties while John Hawthorne had to kick away 24 shots on net.

The Bulldogs return home tomorrow (Saturday, Jan 13) night to take on the Salmon Arm Silverbacks.
