The Alberni Valley Bulldogs coaching and hockey operations staff would like to take this time to thank our fans for their continued support. We can assure you that we care deeply about how you feel about your team.
This year has been a difficult one for our devoted supporters and your patience has been incredible. We can certainly appreciate that some people are questioning the direction of our hockey team. We can assure you that getting this team on track is the most important thing in all of our lives right now. We will not rest until we put a proper scouting and recruiting network in place.
It has become clear that the long term stability of this team is what we have to be seeking. Therefore, we are going to be making an attempt to gather some solid talent through recruiting and player additions. As well, we will be employing a scouting staff and recruiting network that will begin to identify and recruit elite talent across North America. Our next six months will be dedicated to securing players who will make you proud. We will look for elite talent that will not only help us be successful but also model the way the game needs to be played at this level.
This rebuilding begins today. Our staff will endeavor to continue to develop our current players as well as we can in helping them to achieve their goals and to ready themselves for the remaining games of this season. Many of our players are interested in a future in the game. Our commitment to help them achieve this has never been deeper-neither has our respect for them as athletes and people. Our team will continue to work hard in the gym, on the ice and to compete with every ounce of strength we have. As well, our staff will do everything we can to develop strategies and systems that bring respectability to our efforts and standings. We have made tough moves with players and this has not been easy. However, we must now commit to a sense of urgency that is necessary to make this organization what you deserve.
We thank our players for their efforts to date. They are continually commended for their work ethic by rivals and fans alike. We also want the fans of Alberni Valley to know how much we appreciate you. We need a fresh start. We are asking for that. It is not our right to have you support us. It is a privilege. By continuing to support our club you will be investing in the future of these young players, as well as our long term plan for success.
