On Saturday night Alberni Valley Bulldogs Assistant Captain Darren Rizzolo celebrated a milestone playing in his 100th Alberni Valley Bulldogs Game.
“It means a lot to share this milestone with the fans and my teams here in Port Alberni.” mentioned Rizzolo “Port Alberni has become my second home and I can’t thank everyone enough for all their support the last three years.”
Rizzolo, who has in total played in 156 Regular Season BCHL Games has accumulated 41 points, 9 goals and 32 assist while being one of the most consistent defenseman in the league.
The Mission, BC Native started his BCHL career back in 2014-15 when he played six games with the Chilliwack Chiefs, followed by a season and a bit with the Vernon Vipers before making his way to the Bulldogs.
Rizzolo has one goal in mind this year and it’s a championship “Myself, my teammates and this community should aspire for nothing less than that.
Darren Rizzolo and the Bulldogs are back in action this weekend for a back to back games against the Victoria Grizzlies.
