ROAD TRIP: The Bulldogs will look for some crucial points this weekend away from the Dawg Pound

PORT ALBERNI- The Alberni Valley Bulldogs will hit the road for three games this weekend.

The Bulldogs are coming off a 6-5 loss on Sunday to Powell River and will look to get back in the win column on Friday.

The Bulldogs currently sit third in the BCHL’s Island Division with 44 points and a 21-15-0-2 record.

First up for the Bulldogs this weekend will be a stop in Salmon Arm to battle the Silverbacks who are 21-17-1-1 this season.

Back on December 7th at the Dawg Pound, the Bulldogs defeated the Silverback 5-3. Jacob Bosse had 3 points (1G,2A) that night to lead the Bulldogs. Jackson Glassford was solid in goal and made 39 saves for the win.

On Saturday, the Bulldogs make a stop in Vernon and will look to tame the 21-17-1-1 Vipers.

The Vipers took the first meeting 4-3 earlier this season in a shootout on October 26th. Austin Spiridakis notched two goals in that game while Luke Pearson made 43 saves in the loss.

The Bulldogs will wrap up the weekend road trip with an matinee game in West Kelowna against Warriors. The first meeting of the season was postponed due to the ongoing ice issues at the Dawg Pound. Puck drop on Sunday is set for 2:30 PM.

The Bulldogs next home game will be on January 17th against Victoria.
