The Alberni Valley Bulldogs are thrilled to announce the commitment of 2005 born Jacob Terpstra to the NCAA Division I program at the University of Alaska Anchorage under Head Coach Matt Shasby.
A native of Shelby Township, Michigan, Terpstra has played 126 regular season and playoff games in a Bulldog sweater over the past two seasons and has scored 45 times while adding 41 assists good for 96 points.
Bulldogs Head Coach and GM Joe Martin commented: “Congratulations to Jacob on this commitment. He’s been a great goal scorer for us, Last year we saw it in bunches, this year we have seen it consistently, and it’s continued into the playoffs. He has rounded out his game this year, and we’re excited he’ll do it in Junior Hockey for one more year. By the time he goes to College, he will be a very impactful player. He’s worked very hard to achieve this, and we’re thankful he’s here”
Terpstra commented: “I am excited and honoured to announce my commitment to the University of Alaska Anchorage. It’s been a dream and a goal of mine to play Division I Hockey since I started skating. I would like to thank the Bulldogs organization and everyone who has helped me along the way. I couldn’t have done it without all of the support I received”
