The Bulldogs return to the Dawg Pound hungry for two points against the Capitals

PORT ALBERNI, B.C – The Alberni Valley Bulldogs will finally return home to the Dawg Pound on Saturday. It’s the first home game for the Bulldogs in almost a month due to the ongoing ice issues at the Multiplex.

“I’m excited for our players to be back at home and into our routine. We’ve missed the atmosphere in the arena, Saturday night will be electric” said HC/GM Joe Martin.

The Bulldogs who are 13-10-0-2 on the season will battle the Cowichan Valley Capitals on Saturday. It will be the fifth meeting of the season between the two Island Division rivals. The Bulldogs currently lead the regular season series 3-1.

“Cowichan is always a closely contested game. We need to be sharp and play fast, they’ve got a good group” added Martin.

The Bulldogs will unveil their new alternate jerseys on Saturday and tickets for fans 18 and under are FREE when accompanied with an adult.

On Sunday the Bulldogs will head south to battle the Victoria Grizzlies.

“This Sunday in Victoria, we need to keep our focus on our game and how we want to play. Being a Sunday it may be a quiet crowd, finding and keeping our momentum will go a long way” said Martin.

The Bulldogs would like to thank the City of Port Alberni for all our their hard work over the last month. We would also like to thank our fans for their patience during this time. We’re pumped to be back at the Dawg Pound. Let’s get loud on Saturday night Port Alberni !!
