TRADE: Bulldogs Move Greaves to Prince George

The Bulldogs cleared their log-jam on the back end as they announced they have traded 03 Defenceman Kai Greaves to the Prince George Spruce Kings in exchange for future considerations.

Greaves joined the Bulldogs last season and had 2 goals and 12 assists for 14 points.  He added 1 goal and 4 assists in 10 playoff games as the Bulldogs advanced to the Coastal Conference Semi-Finals.

With 8 BCHL-quality defenceman in camp this year, the Bulldogs were forced to make a tough decision in moving Greaves.  The move to Prince George will provide Greaves the chance to play quality minutes with former Bulldogs coach Alex Evin.

“Moves like this are always hard” said Bulldogs head coach and general manager Joe Martin. “Greaver was a big part of our culture, and he’s going to be missed. PG has a great roster spot for him, sometimes you have to make these trades.  Now the door is open for others. It’s going to be competitive to dress every night in our lineup.”

The Bulldogs open the 22-23 season on Friday evening in Victoria against the Grizzlies.  Their home opener is set for October 1st at 7:00 pm vs the Powell River Kings.  Season tickets are still available online or at the Bulldogs box office.
