Vees defeat Bulldogs

The Penticton Vees proved to be too much for the Alberni Valley Bulldogs on Saturday evening coming away with the 5-2 win in front of over 1,000 Bulldogs fans at the Alberni Valley Multiplex.

Both teams would swap goals in the first period, first by the Bulldogs AP Pearce Messer assisted by Tyler Vanuden and Sami Pharaon which was followed by a Vees goal at the 18:22 mark by Grant Cruickshank to tie goals.

The Vees would take the upper hand in the second period scoring three goals while the Bulldogs was only able to put one up from James Orban assisted by Tyler Vanuden and John Hawthorne.

During the third the Vees would add another goal to take the game 5-2.

Congrats to Pearce Messer for scoring his first BCHL Goal and to John Hawthorne getting his first assit.

Thanks to the best fans in the BCHL that made our 50/50 pot over $2,500 tonight!!

The Bulldogs are back in action tomorrow against the Surrey Eagles for a 2:00pm game; bring your Teddy Bears!
