Dogs’ beat Grizzlies in OT

On a rare Wednesday night the Bulldogs traveled down to Victoria to take on the Grizzlies and The Q Centre and what a show they gave the fans winning in OT.

First period is where most of the action came from, Bulldogs getting on the board first with only 25 seconds in by Victoria Native Isaac Tonkin-Palmer assisted by Bradley Ong and Connor Welsh.

Grizzlies retailed quickly with one of their own and before the end of the first period they scored another goal on the powerplay to take the 2-1 lead.

Nothing happened again until the third period where Jackson Doucet would tie the game and send it to overtime.

Early into the first overtime Mitchell Oliver would score to take the game. Winning goal was assisted by Connor Welsh and Ryan Steele.

The Bulldogs are now one point out of second place with one game in hand on the Victoria Grizzlies.

Saturday night the Bulldogs are back in action against the Prince George Spruce Kings.
